Terms of Service

These terms govern the use and purchase of Speech Flow on speechtoflow.com. By creating an account or buying a plan, you accept them. They are written for consumers under French and EU consumer law.

1. Who we are

Speech Flow is published by Félix Lepinoy. Contact: felix@speechtoflow.com.

2. The service

Speech Flow is an AI dictation app for macOS and Windows: hold a key, speak, and clean, formatted text is typed into the app you are using. To do this, your audio is processed by cloud providers (such as Microsoft Azure and OpenAI) for transcription and formatting. Your dictation history is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.

3. Plans and prices

  • Free — €0. Includes 2,500 words per week and voice notes up to 5 minutes. The free quota is a courtesy and may be adjusted (with reasonable notice in the app or by email) to keep the service sustainable.
  • Pro — €10/month or €70/year. Unlimited words, voice notes up to 10 minutes, priority processing.
  • Lifetime (BYOK) — €39, one-time. All Pro features using your own API key (see section 7).

Prices are in euros, all taxes included. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Local currency equivalents may be shown for convenience.

4. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

Pro subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, in a few clicks, through the Stripe customer portal linked from the app — no phone call, no letter, no justification. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing, as French law requires.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

For digital services, EU law grants a 14-day right of withdrawal — unless you ask for immediate access. At checkout, you expressly consent to immediate provision of the service and waive your right of withdrawal once access begins.

Independently of that, we offer a voluntary 14-day money-back guaranteeon your first purchase of any paid plan: if Speech Flow isn’t for you, email felix@speechtoflow.com within 14 days of purchase and we refund you in full, no questions asked.

6. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Speech Flow on devices you own or control, for the duration of your plan. You may not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app;
  • circumvent usage quotas or technical limits (including by rotating devices, accounts or IP addresses);
  • share, resell or sublicense your account or license;
  • use the service for unlawful purposes.

7. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

The Lifetime plan uses your own API keys (e.g. OpenAI). Those keys, their security and the costs they incur with the third-party providerare your responsibility. “Lifetime” means for the lifetime of the Speech Flow app: we cannot guarantee that third-party APIs will remain available, compatible or priced as they are today.

8. Beta features and evolution

Features marked beta or experimental are provided as is. The app evolves: features may be added, changed or removed, and a minimum app version may be required to keep using the service (security and compatibility updates).

9. Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Speech Flow reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — the service depends in part on third-party cloud providers. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the legal warranties that protect consumers (including the French legal warranty of conformity for digital content and services), or our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or harms that cannot be limited by law.

10. Intellectual property — and your text

The Speech Flow software, brand and website are our property. The text you dictate belongs to you — we claim no rights over your content, and your dictation history stays on your device.

11. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account in case of abuse: spam, quota circumvention, account sharing, or any breach of section 6. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to respond.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes you will be notified (in the app or by email) before they take effect; if you disagree, you can cancel your plan as described in section 4.

14. Governing law, mediation and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of protections granted by the mandatory law of your country of residence. In case of a dispute, contact us first at felix@speechtoflow.com — most issues are solved in one email.

As a consumer, you may also use, free of charge, a consumer mediation service (médiateur de la consommation), in accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The contact details of our designated mediator are available on request and will be published on this page. You can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
